Each type has a maximum number of tiles it can destroy based on its area of effect.Ī small explosion destroys a single tile.Ĥ.10x10^8 = Small Building level Small ExplosionsĪ standard Grenade Launcher is able to destroy a 3x3 set of tiles, and uses a single big explosion. ![]() Plasma weapons mimic this, though their small explosions do not destroy terrain. Plugging this into our table for destruction levels, using violent fragmentation gives us 69 joules per cubic centimeter, for a total of 409,860,000 joules of force needed to destroy a single tile of terrain.Įach explosion can be classified as a small explosion, big explosion, or large explosion. Now that we have our volume, things get much easier. Now we cube that to get the volume of the tile. So, if we plug that back into the 19 pixels of the wall we get 181.07 as our wall height. If we divide that number, 162.052, by Rogue's height in pixels, 17, we get that each pixel are 9.53 centimeters per pixel. Rogue is a woman, so using the average human female height of 63.8 inches ( as cited by the CDC) we can find the exact volume of our tiles/walls.ġ inch = 2.54 centimeters, so 63.8 inches = 162.052 centimeters ![]() She is exactly 17 pixels talls, while the wall is 3 pixels above her, although it is only 19 pixels tall due to her lower pixel being one below the wall. One, the absolute lowest pixel of Rogue (the character in the shot ) is clipping one pixel below the starting point of the upper portion of the wall, which will be measured. This is the picture I will be using for several reasons. This is supported, as if they were as short as they appear given the screen angle, they should not be impassable to the characters. Despite the game's wonky perspective, the tiles are meant to be cubic in nature, so I will be using the top part of them to calculate how large they are cubicly. Well, to do this I will use the ability of the weapons to violently fragment the terrain in the game (I will use Violent Fragmentation, as when the tiles are destroyed only small bits of rubble remain).įirst off I need to determine exactly how large are the pieces of tile are. While most weapons will would seem to land in the Street/Wall category, the verse may be more powerful than first glance. However my cousin dropped playing the game for now, because all his golden guns(and characters) disappear with each update, so tricky thing that people seem to overvalue(if that's a real word) what the golden guns are.In order to build up the Nuclear Throne Verse, we first need to know what kind of weaponry we are dealing with. ![]() Speaking of which, Steroids double revolvers loadout seems to be quite effective even mid-game, especially with bullet/ammo-related upgrades, you can hit LMB/RMB very fast, not only it's efficient, but also feels so bossy(Please-please-please add Dante-like C-skin! =D )Īnd yea, not sure if Golden weapons are OP, strong early-game, but limiting late-game. Plus as Chicken I'd rather go with sword, also as Robot you find even better guns even earlier, and as Steroids double revolvers allow for some DMC Dante(the old one) gun action. But later on you get way better weapons, so you have to choose from having better loadout now or saving golden weapon for the next run. The special thing is that you have something that's way better than revolver early-game. Yes, golden weapons have slight advantage over their normal version, but it's very minor.
